Musculoskeletal podiatry assessment:

This appointment is suitable for adults or children with a foot-to-hip complaint. During this appointment we provide assessment and treatment for a wide variety of lower limb problems. We assess patients with lower limb pain, joint or bone deformitiesdisease, soft tissue injury, gait dysfunctions and growingdevelopmental concerns.

We provide assessment and prescription of foot orthotics. Foot orthotics are prescribed for a wide variety of complaints/uses and are available in many materials, densities and designs, all of which will be explained to you during your assessment. Foot orthotics can be used as a sole intervention, or, as part of a multi-disciplinary plan. Foot orthotics can also be used as a short and long-term intervention, dependent on your type of injury and how well you respond to them.

Injection Therapy:

Injection therapy is most commonly referred to as a cortisone or steroid injection. The use of injection therapy has become popular in the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological pain experienced. Injection therapy provides a quick relief of pain, swelling, and inflammation.

Routine Podiatry:

Routine podiatry is expert care for your feet. It is accessible to everyone and there are many benefits to having your foot health cared for by a Podiatrist. We offer Podiatry assessments for dermatology (skin and nails), vascular and neurology-related lower-limb complaints. We also offer diabetes and rheumatology foot health screening, which is a NICE recommended guideline to help prevent, highlight and treat foot complications in patients with these conditions.

Nail Surgery:

Nail surgery is a procedure which involves the removal of part, or all, of a troublesome in- growing nail to help reduce pain and prevent infection. Having excellent skills in the assessment and surgical technique of this condition makes Podiatrists key clinicians when it comes to nail surgery.

Falknor’s Needling is a very common and effective minor surgery procedure which is used to treat troublesome and conservative-failed verrucae. Verruca needling is a procedure in which the verruca is punctured with a small needle to stimulate the body’s immune system. Local anaesthesia is delivered pre-needling to ensure the procedure is completed pain- free.
